Tom Alter

 

Since picking up his first guitar as a child, Tom Alter has been influenced by a wide range of musical genres. Listening to his recordings, you encounter the sounds of pop, jazz, latin, country, and r&b, mixed into his alternative folk catalog.

​Tom’s song lyrics mesh current events and history with personal experiences. At the end of 2021, Tom release his sixth recorded collection of songs, “Poetry and Protest.”

​Tom performs solo and as half of the duo After Blue at a variety of venues and events. He resides in Fraser, Michigan.

 

Matt Dmits

 

Matt Dmits has been writing and performing music in the Detroit area and the Midwest since the late 1990’s.  Working as a vocalist, songwriter, and guitar player, he has shared the stage with numerous local and national artists- both as an accompanist and as a stand-alone performer of Detroit Americana.

Dmits recorded his first solo effort, Bury Me With My Guitar, with renowned Detroit producer Jim Diamond at his Ghetto Recorders Studios in Detroit.  The six-song EP was released in May, 2012 and featured prominent Detroit musicians Ty Stone, Don “Doop” Duprie, Bobby Emmett, Pete Ballard, Matt Van and Vinnie Dombroski.

His latest release, February 2018’s Thinnest of Threads, is a full length, 11-song LP, available for digital download and pressed at Detroit’s Archer Record Pressing.

Dmits continues to collaborate, write, and perform with a hard working spirit that matches the place he proudly calls home.

 

Audra Kubat

Searing and haunting, Detroit Music Award winning singer/songwriter Audra Kubat has released 7 albums to critical acclaim in a career that spans over 25 years.   A composer, performer, and educator, Audra’s work has earned her a place in the community as a resource for empowerment through songwriting and music. Her methods of composition articulate grace and uncover hidden places between our dreams and our realities. An offering of stark and beautiful reality that possesses experience yet embraces the whimsical. This is music from the hidden places between our dreams and our realities. She has shared bills with Aimee Mann, Rodriguez, Roberta Flack, Greta Van Fleet, The War and Treaty, Whit Hill, and Jolie Holland, to name a few.

 

Emily Rose

Emily Rose is a Detroit based singer/songwriter and poet. Her most recent release ‘Wake Up Brave’ is a collection of intimate, confessional songs that are peculiar but relatable. She is currently at work on an album about animals.
