Country artist/songwriter Kristen Kelly cut her teeth on the music scene in her home state of Texas. Her sound caught the ear of Arista Nashville, who signed Kelly and brought in award-winning producer Tony Brown and Grammy-winning songwriter Paul Overstreet to oversee her major-label debut including the lead off single, “Ex-Old Man” which was her first top 30 billboard charting single. As one of CMT’s Next Women of Country, Kristen has spent the last few years writing, recording, playing the Grand Ole Opry all the while touring with acts including Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, Jake Owen, Gary Allan and more. Her independently released FIRE ep (2015) includes the hits “Kiss By Kiss” and “Fire”. Kristen is currently in the studio now wrapping up her latest project to be released soon.
Skylar, a 17 year old high school senior takes pop music down to a more relaxed home town feel. He first got his start at the age of 5 when he and his little sister joined his father in the recording studio to add background vocals to a “Zippity2Dads” children’s album. Skylar is looking forward to the performance as he always values the time spent getting to know his audience. His influences include Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, and Juke Ross. When he turned 15, he got a guitar for Christmas and with determination, he taught himself how to play, and has been jamming and learning ever since. Skylar has performed locally throughout Michigan at summer and fall festivals as well as bigger venues like the Detroit Winter Blast. Skylar’s mellow tone always leaves you wanting more. Currently, he has been in the recording studio with his worship band, “Covenant Waters Worship” as they are planning to release an album next month. He is creating a youtube channel soon, and beginning to work on a solo acoustic album.
