Hailing from the cityscapes of Rochester, Michigan (just north of Detroit), recording artist Trey Simon fell in love with the acoustic guitar after finding a dusty old acoustic Gibson under his uncle’s bed years ago. He was soon addicted to the sound, the tone and the art. It was his vacation, his escape and his focus. As his musicianship developed so did his writing style. Trey has always had a natural gift for writing lyrics and through his dark places in his life, his ability to write sincere songs about hope and love was born.
Trey Simon hit the Detroit music scene in 2012. His unique sound and finger plucking guitar technique has defined his artistic merit and his image as an artist fast on the rise. His sound and persona is best described as authentic, spiritual, passionate, romantic and classic. Because of his insatiable knack for men’s fashion and jewelry, Trey recently was selected to become a brand ambassador for the luxury bracelet brand, The Cadence Company and is also a Brand Ambassador for the Hair Pomade Company, Ace High. Speaking to the public is also a passion. Topics are based on real-life experiences; Blended Culture, Homelessness, Troubled Teenager, Child of Divorced Parents, and Unity through Music.
Since his inception into the music world, Trey has had the opportunity to grace the stage and open for national industry greats such as Andy Allo, Nick Thomas, Andy Grammer, Andra Day and Stokely, lead singer for the ultra-talented R&B Band, Mint Condition. Most recently Trey had the opportunity to share the same stage with the legendary R&B Singer Patti Labelle.
Soul, Pop, Gospel, Jazz, R&B and Rock are all sounds heard in a Trey Simon melody. With every live performance, the audience will hear influences by an eclectic group of national and legendary artists influencers; John Legend, Nat King Cole, Sam Smith, Stevie Wonder, BB King, John Mayer, etc. The list is extensive.
Trey’s hometown has shown their love for his music through a “SOLD OUT” show at The Historic Cliff Bells, 2 “SOLD OUT” shows at the beautiful 20 Front Street, many appearances on “Live in the D” WDIV Channel 4 and a host of festivals and concerts.
Trey Simon released his first EP “What The Future Holds” in 2014 which did well locally as a promotional EP. His second EP is set to be released in July 2018 titled “The Acoustic Introduction of Trey Simon”. The EP features 4 acoustic songs that define who Trey is as a singer-songwriter, acoustic guitarist and new artist to watch. With pop songs like “Got Her Anyway” and romantic soulful tunes like “My Angel”, Trey reveals his ability to cross genres with his music and lyrics focused on love, loss and romance. What’s next for Trey Simon? He is already working on his next project. He is in the studio with Grammy Award Winning Engineer, Quentin “QueWeezy” Dennard II and Grammy Award Winning co-writer, Ashley Rose (Tattoo). Trey is on a mission to ignite unity in the name of timeless and classic music. Trey is just getting started!

A raw denim aficionado who doesn’t like raw vegetables. A kid who never dreamt of being president, except for that one time he had a nightmare. This is Jerrod Phillips. Oh yeah, he also writes songs sometimes that may or may not make you feel something. From moving away to moving on. From learning how a heart breaks to learning what makes it whole. **These are all words coming directly from Jerrod. **It’s actually just me typing all of this way too late at night when I should be sleeping.
