John Latini released his 5th record of songs at the end of December in 2016. This one is his first full length blues album called “The Blues Just Makes Me Feel Good.” Within 10 days of the release to radio, it was included in Goldmine’s Cool Rootsy Releases of 2016 and received 41 shining reviews to date including one in No Depression. The record debuted at #12 on the RMR Top 50 All Blues Chart, #5 on the Top 50 Contemporary Blues Chart, and #1 on the Michigan All-Genre Chart in the same week. He has released 3 previous records; a singer/songwriter acoustic album, a roots rock album, and a Christmas album. John has been the Coordinator and workshop leader of Above The Bridge Songwriters Weekend Retreats that have taken place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan since 2008. Latini has won songwriting awards in several genres including 2 film music awards in his duo act (Bottle Rocket Cabaret with Jamie-Sue Seal) and John has fronted roots rock band The Flying Latini Brothers for close to two decades. He is known as a consummate performer able to entertain and win over audiences of varied sizes and situations.
“I feel confident that (John Latini) is one of those performers who finds a way to connect with his audience – whether it’s live or via the album – and brings them along on a great musical ride. In many ways he reminds me of an early John Prine or Steve Goodman with his troubadour style story songs, and also his stylish turns of phrase. So if you would like to get in on the almost ground floor of a man who is a rising star in the blues, check out his website to pick up this first blues album (he also has some other tricks up his sleeve) or to find out where he’s going to play live.” – Review, Professor Johnny P’s Juke Joint
