Another of his #1’s ‘Back when I knew It All’ by Montgomery Gentry, has 2 million plus spins on radio. Gary, contributed to Blake Sheltons ACA and CMA winning album of the year in 2013, certified multi platinum and receiving a Grammy nomination. Gary has shared the stage with Members of Motley Crue, The Little River Band, Darryl Worley, Montgomery Gentry, Billy Dean, Joe Nichols, Lonestar, John Michael Montgomery and many others.
4 years ago, Gary took to the road on a motorcycle with a 1 man tent and a guitar to write songs on battlefields across the USA, he then continued on to the beaches of Normandy to write on Omaha beach and draw from the inspiration offered there. Most recently, in May/June of 2017, Gary, a former member of Special Forces, returned to Africa to visit brothers in arms and pay respects to friends lost in combat at the exact locations where they had made the ultimate sacrifice. A soldiers journey, recorded in song and presented in an ongoing compilation of 6 song EP’s, ‘Songs From The Battlefield’. Gary was recently presented an award for ‘Meritorious and Distinguished service in furthering the aims and Ideals of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, for all he has done to benefit Veterans in need.
