Everyone knows the king of all musical instruments is the double bass! At least that’s the opinion of bassists Mark Mathias and Jerry Jacoby. Let them prove it to you with musical gems from Bach to Tin Pan Alley. One of these guys is a bass virtuoso. The other one is a nut! You decide which is which!

Jerry Jacoby is a humorist, songwriter and motivational speaker with 7,000 shows under his belt in schools, churches, camps and theatres, including in Austria & Poland. All ages will be energized by Jerry’s quick wit. Before launching his performing career of over 30 years, he was assistant director of bands at Wayne State University where he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music and band director at Farmington High School and West Bloomfield High School (Michigan). He and his wife, violinist, Michaella Jacoby provide strolling music and a comedy show for adults and families.
Mark Mathias received his Bachelor of Music Performance in Double Bass from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University. He has been the principal bassist of the Jackson Symphony for many years and has a long career as a string music educator in the Jackson (Michigan) Public Schools as well at the Jackson Symphony Community Music School.
